Model 165-5RPS Controller

The Model 165-5RPS is five-camera controller providing analog drive control of pan, tilt, zoom, focus, and iris for professional level video presentation systems. This unit is especially well suited for distance learning and municipal government broadcast applications.

The Model 165-5RPS is five Individual controllers with selectable speed ranges for all functions built into a single control panel.

Hybrid technology is incorporated in the design of this unit. Analog motor drive provides the ultimate in smooth fluid motion control. Digital techniques are used to automatically balance the different drives in the system. Uneven drive voltages were typical in previous straight analog systems. These imbalances were a function of long drive cables and uneven power supply rails.

An optional rotator camera function can also be provided. This option allows the camera image to be rotated; this is useful when presenting images of documents. This is useful for presenting zoning changes for local governments. This feature is a valuable tool for surgical room medical applications. The rotator option is incorporated in camera 3 of the unit in the illustration.
